of St Benedict consists of twelve member monasteries having similar customs and following similar norms. The norms are the interpretations of the Rule of St Benedict for the present time. The monasteries are organized in this manner to help each other in time of need as well as to communicate with the leadership in Rome.
The twelve member monasteries of the Federation of St. Benedict are: St. Scholastica Monastery - Duluth, MN
Annunciation Monastery - Bismarck, ND
St. Bede Monastery - Eau Claire, WI
St. Benedict’s Monastery - Sapporo, Hokkaido, JAPAN
St. Placid Priory - Lacey, WA
St. Martin Monastery - Nassau, N. P., The BAHAMAS
St. Mary Monastery - Rock Island, IL
Mount Benedict Monastery - Ogden, UT
St. Benedict Monastery - Tanshui, Taipei, TAIWAN
St. Paul’s Monastery - St. Paul, MN
Monasterio Santa Escolastica - Humacao, PUERTO RICO
St. Benedict’s Monastery, St. Joseph, MN
There are more than fifty other self-governing Benedictine monasteries for women with various governing structures in the United States and Canada. These support each other through the organization known as the Conference of Benedictine Prioresses.
